Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition — Hotfix 37906

Good day, everyone! Today’s hotfix addresses several critical issues and is now available for download. Be sure that the numbers 37906 can be found at the bottom the game lobby screen to ensure you are on the latest game build.

Download on the MICROSOFT STORE

Remember that you’ll need update your game in the Microsoft Store:

Open the Microsoft Store.
Click the [ ∙ ∙ ∙ ] symbol next to your profile picture.
Select Downloads and updates.
Press the Get updates button to automatically detect, download, and install the latest changes to your game!
Open the game. The title screen should read Build 37906

If you are unable to launch the game after downloading the update, make sure you add (or re-add) the Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition client or folder as an exception to your firewall and antivirus program.

That’s it; you’re ready to play!

Remember that you’ll need update your game in Steam:

Open Steam.
Click on Library to see your games list.
Click Downloads at the bottom of the Library window.
[If the new build does not download automatically,] click the Download Now button to manually download the new update.
Open the game. The title screen should read Build 37906

FIXES

Fixed an AoEURLInstaller_Steam.exe/VCRUNTIME140_1.dll error that would appear after updating to game build 37650 (the May update).
Fixed a crash when joining 3v3 or 4v4 Ranked Matches.
Fixed a crash when loading a garrisoned Ram onto a Transport Ship.
Fixed an issue where the Trophy Case mod would reveal the location of enemy Town Centers by displaying their trophies through the fog of war.
Updated the description of the ‘Calculating Research FX’ mod to clarify that it will only display when researching new technologies, not when producing units.
Updated the description of the sheep “auto-scout” reward to clarify that it is only available during the May-hem event and can only be used in single player matches and campaign missions.
