Greetings, Wololo Warriors!
It’s time for you to step up and show your Wololo spirit in our monthly contest.
But first, the winners from last month! Sometimes a game can take a while, and those soldiers probably get homesick! We asked you to write letters home from your favorite Age characters. As always, we had a bunch of awesome entries, but we had to narrow it down to our five favorites. Below are this month’s winners!
ThreshTea, whose monk is making a mad dash for the final relic!
Faber MX, who wrote a letter to the emporer from a knight named Timmy:
FywinTL, who wrote a missive from the coast of the New World.
GlassCannon, whose monks wrote a letter home right before going to kick some cannons.
And JacoGuyner, who wrote a heartbreaking letter by John Black. (SPOILER WARNING for Age III campaign!)
Congrats to all winners, and thanks to everyone who participated!
Honorable mention this month goes to Cataphractus, whose Ponce de Leon gave up just a little bit too early.
This month, organization is always important, but especially when it comes to war! Forgetting something important at home can cost you the battle, the war, or even your life. Still, though, things slip our minds from time to time. We want you to show us those crucial things that your favorite Age characters left behind in the rush to join the battle… and what happened because of it! What would happen if Tokugawa left his sword at home, or the army’s general forgot to bring the cannons?
Your entry must include an image from an Age of Empires game (or an illustration having to do with one). You may also include a written portion explaining your entry that may be no more than 800 characters in length (not including spaces).
We’ll pick our five favorites, and the winners will each be able to choose two of the below prizes! Submissions must be appropriate and related to Age of Empires in some way, and must be submitted in the forum discussion thread linked below before 11:59 PM PDT on June 1, 2016. You can find the full official rules here.
